Mike Vick gets $100 million deal

August 29, 2011

Once again Michael Vick has received a $100 million contract from an NFL franchise. Back in 2005, Vick signed a 10-year, $130 million deal with the Atlanta Falcons. After legal troubles and jail time, Vick lost out on alot of it and it’s well documented what were the reasons were. Reborn and back on the football field, Vick has transformed himself into the Quarterback he once was believed to turn into. The Philadelphia Eagles signed Vick to a 6-year $100 million deal. Is it deserved? Will Vick play out the deal? My answer to both questions is HELL YES! Vick has been amazing on the field since his return to the game and has improved in every aspect of the Quarterback position. He did his time and has shown remorse, in addition to maturity on and off the field. Vick and the Eagles will now turn their attention to winning the Lombardi Trophy. Something the Eagles have never done. The teams last title? The 1960 NFL Championship.

Michael Vick to start Week 2?

September 13, 2010

It was an adventurous week 1 for the Philadelphia Eagles. After losing starting Quarterback Kevin Kolb to a concussion, Michael Vick came in the game and did what he did when he was a Pro Bowl QB with the Atlanta Falcons. With the Packers up 20-3 and holding the Eagles under 100 yards of total offense, Michael Vick came in and looked bound and determined to bring the Eagles back. Vick recorded his 10th career 100-yard rushing game of his career, threw a touchdown pass and most importantly looked like a leader on the field. Despite coming up short on a 4th and 1 play, Vick looked alot better than Kolb and with Kolb being questionable to play next week, Andy Reid may need to start Vick. Many experts, fans and myself included believed all along that Vick was the better QB but Andy Reid fell in love with Kolb after the Donovan McNabb trade. Vick has not started an NFL game since December 31, 2006, but even if Kolb is healthy I think the man to start against the Lions should be Vick. We all know Kolb wants to play but what’s best for the team may not be the best for Kolb. We will see next Sunday afternoon who leads the offense onto the field against the Detroit Lions.

NFL Wild Card weekend predictions

January 5, 2010

Arizona Cardinals vs Green Bay Packers-Bad matchup for the Cardinals with the Packers great cornerbacks.Playoff experience will help the Cards and I think Kurt Warner will find Larry Fitzgerald on a regular basis and Beanie Wells should be able to gain some yards on the ground. Look for a close game to go down and Arizona win 24-20

Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles-Another rematch fromweek 17, the Cowboys have momentum rollin high and look to be the more prepared team for this matchup. The Eagles will need to stop Romo,Jones and the Cowboys if they want to move on in the playoffs. I think Ware n co. will be too much for McNabb and the Cowboys will win easily 28-10

Baltimore Ravens vs New England Patriots- Losing WR Wes Welker was tough for Belicheck’s Pats, but when Tom Brady is your QB you can never be counted out. The Ravens seem to be the more prepared team this year but we’ve already seen them lose once to New England and also lose close games to top notch competition during the year. I think New England gets a scare but comes out on top 27-24

New York Jets vs Cincinati Bengals- Well after watching the Jets destroy the Bengals sunday evening, its safe to say the Jets have a leg up on them. I think it will be ALOT closer this time but I still think the Jets defense will be too much. Revis,Scott n co. should be able to contain Ocho Cinco and the Bengals and knock them out of the playoffs. Jets 31-21

Vick gets 2 TDs in ATL return

December 6, 2009

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4719169

In a 34-0 rout of the Falcons,Michael Vick accounted for 2 TDs in the win; his first scores since 2006. The first was a 5 yard run from the shotgun snap, the second was a 5 yard pass to tight end Brent Celek. Vick heard chants of “We want Vick!” and was happy to not only return to the Georgia Dome but to score and do to twice.

Michael Vick receives mixed reactions in ATL return

December 6, 2009

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4719169

As expected Michael Vick  received both boos and cheers in his return to the Georgia Dome. Vick has been recreating himself as a man and a NFL player and knew what would be the reaction today as he returned. Both Atlanta and Philly #7 jerseys were in population and in my opinion most fans want to see Vick do well despite his prevous errors.

Mike Vick to make preseason debut

August 25, 2009

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp09/news/story?id=4421674

What a birthday present for me eh? Michael Vick, one of my favorite players, will be making his Eagles debut this Thursday against the Jaguars. In his first NFL game since Dec 31,2006, Vick will be out to prove the naysayers wrong by showing everyone why he was one of the most hyped players in NFL history. How much will he play? Nobody really knows, but one things for certain and that the crowd will be loud everytime that #7 jersey touches the field.

NFL preview w/ TrePHLESH

August 18, 2009

Back with another special guest for everyone I have a good friend of mine, co-ceo of up and coming line Phlesh Klothing, TrePHLESH.

Darren- As the NFL season comes up who is your early Super Bowl picks?

TrePHLESH- The Steelers and Vikings.

D-Riding the Brett Favre wagon now eh?

Tre-I gotta because I dont like any other teams in the NFC and he has the #1 running back in Adrian Peterson.

D-Agree about All-Day Peterson

D-Whats your opinion on Michael Vick signing with the Eagles?

Tre-Since the NFL is getting younger I guess its a good move,if Andy Reid can put in that Wildcat offense effectively.

D-Do you think he will succeed in Philly?

Tre- He wont succeed but it will open up doors for him when he is a free agent again.

D-So Vick wont succeed with the Eagles but Favre will with the Vikings?

Tre-Yes because Brett is going to a better situation because he’s going to a team without a QB and the Eagles have McNabb.

D-Give me your division winners for this season in the AFC

Tre-AFC East-Patriots AFC West-Do I have to? Haha I guess the Chargers Afc North-Steelers AFC South-Titans

D-The NFC?

Tre-NFC East-Eagles NFC North-Vikings NFC South-Falcons NFC West-49ers

D-Who is your MVP for this season?

Tre-Adrian Peterson hands down.

D-Anything else you want to say about this season?

Tre-Steelers goin for that repeat and I still hate the Raiders (to the death haha) and the Niners making the playoffs for you haha.

D-Haha thanks. So tell the people where they can purchase Phlesh Klothing

Cleo Lemon to sign w/ the Patriots…Vick ruled out?

August 1, 2009

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4371342

Veteran backup QB Cleo Lemon will sign with the New England Patriots to back up Tom Brady. Could this mean Michael Vick doesnt get signed? Hmmm my guess is good as yours. I believe Bill Belicheck and Robert Kraft have something up their sleeve. I think Vick will end up in New England playing in a wildcat option/slot reciever situation. We’ll find out very soon.
